As part of the Sheep Ball at Zatrnik (near Gorje), we invite you to a free guided tour through the Pokljuka Gorge all the way to Zatrnik, to the event itself. You will be able to return to Gorje car park by free shuttle bus (BUS SCHEDULE).
Almost 2 km long and up to 50 m deep, the Pokljuka Gorge was carved into limestone bedrock by a glacial outflow from the melting glacier at Pokljuka, creating the largest fossil gorge in Slovenia.
The tour of the gorge will be guided by Triglav National Park guides. The trail is not technically demanding, but does, however, reach higher altitudes in certain sections (the 'Galleries').
Appropriate footwear and walking sticks (optional) are required. Bring enough water and protection against sun or rain.
