In the jubilee year of the 100th anniversary of the signing of the lease agreement for the establishment of the Alpine Conservation Park, the predecessor of the Triglav National Park, the photographers from Gorenjska chose the wide and varied themes of our only national park as inspiration for the exhibition of their 7th meeting. With its stunning and varied living and non-living nature, as well as its cultural landscape and thousands of years of respectful human presence, it offers an endless treasure trove of photographic motifs.
In 2017, photographic friends from Gorenjska Region in Slovenia agreed to organise a joint photographic exhibition every year in one of the Gorenjska exhibition centres. The photographers of the Photo Club Triglav National Park from Bled, the Photo Society Radovljica, the Photo Society Jesenice, the Photo Club Anton Ažbe Škofja Loka, the Photo Society Janez Puhar Kranj, the Photo Club Tržič and the Photo Group IME Kranj are taking part in the 7th joint exhibition. The projection shows 236 photographs by 59 authors, and the exhibition features a selection of the best 30 photographs. The different approaches and perspectives of the photographers, their different feelings in search of interesting motifs, will show us the beauty of nature, which is difficult to describe in words, as the saying goes that one picture tells us more than 1000 words.
The exhibition is on show until 15 September 2024.
