TREBIŠČINA MOUNTAIN PASTURE - free guided hike

TREBIŠČINA MOUNTAIN PASTURE - free guided hike

You are invited to a free guided hike to the Trebišina mountain pasture to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the lease agreement for the establishment of the Alpine Conservation Park, the predecessor of the Triglav National Park.

On a guided hike to the Trebiščina mountain pasture we will focus on the ethnology of mountain pastoralism.

Planina (mountain pasture) Trebiščina was in operation until 1968. It is mentioned in written sources as early as 1328, when it was in the possession of Aquileia.

The route will take you from the Dom Trenta Information Center along a forest road for a good kilometre to the former hamlet of Gmajna, and from there on past Krotice and Lepoča to Trebiščina. We will follow the marked mountain trail towards the Zasavska hut on Prehodavci. The return to the valley will be along the same route.
