The hiking trail leads from the foot of Austria's highest mountain, Veliki Klek (Grossglockner), through the Visoke Ture National Park (Nationalpark Hohe Tauern), past the junction of the three countries of Austria, Slovenia and Italy, through the Soča Valley and the Triglav National Park, on to the Adriatic coast and the town of Milje (Muggia).
The Alpe Adria route reveals the exceptional biodiversity, cuisine and hospitality of the locals of the three lands.
